i have to content with the digital flower-fix, and just watch the blooms of others, because i can't add new ones already due to my limited space

I have to agree with Jonada. I'll try all of them end up doing the last which seems to be the most satisfying.

All of the above! Digital fix turns into window shopping very fast. Puttering includes staring at the spikes (and looking for new ones). Thankfully the nearest store that has orchids is over 20 miles away, and the nearest orchid nursery for other supplies is over 100 miles away, so that limits the "need" to have right now. Just need to be carefull with the window shopping....it may become impulse buy!

i know it sounds like im rubbing it in a bit...but i honestly DO find enough on the streets...and sometimes...now yall dont judge...i "liberate" some from time to time...in taiwan phals are so abundant they are used as decoration for any little event or grand opening...and in my neighborhood shops open and close constantly...a huge pot stuffed with foam, moss and up to 8 plastic potted flowering phals will just be baking in the sunlight after one of these events...i give em a few days to treat them better...and when i cant take looking at the sun scortched leaves anymore...i have a few drinks, put on some dark clothing...and well, you get the picture...
    that's my 'option 6'

We need to come up with a superhero name for you, Shane. "Orchidman" doesn't sound fierce enough. Any ideas?

i'm trying to be smart about it and get stuff with different bloom seasons, so i always have something flowering or spiking. when i don't have anything blooming, i buy a new orchid. but meanwhile, i try to avoid things that only bloom once a year, unless they are extra special somehow. i'm pretty close to year round blooms i think.

    Ooooahhh...All of the above?

If none of the above, lift them and inspect the roots?

Play chids puzzle with your available space, see how much you can stash one way or another in the hope of gaining all the oh so necessary 10 cm2 for a new pot?

Check soil pH/humidity/light intensity though you just changed them/showered AND you know the thing won't register your red/blue light as sufficient?

Walk around the house hugging the humidifier while you hold the measuring machine between your teeth and your pockets are filled up with secateurs, tiny scissors, magnifying glass, small clips, diverse debris from the plants?

I'm confused, I just can't make myself vote!

    Cheers everyone!
    Laura
