Default very simple question

Here's the DQOTD:

I've discovered this "thing" attached to the base of the newest (and matured) pbulb on my mtdm. It's shaped like a teardrop, pointed side up. It's texture is smooth and completely green. It's only 1 cm (less than half an inch) tall right now. I haven't noticed it before because it is half buried under the soil. So my guess is that it's the start of a new growth? Am I right?

Thanks for any help!
P.S. "DQOTD" means "dumb question of the day" LOL

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Thanks!
Yippee! Hurray! *doing the orchid dance*

I've read somewhere that mtdm's are "slowpokes" and growths take a looooooooonnnnnnnnngggg time (maybe years) to mature (right?). So I've got plenty of waiting to do.

* I stand there whistling, while staring at my milt*
Hmmm...still one centimeter in height...I'll wait ...

* I stand there and yawn*
Still no changes!...I am getting bored.

Oh well, better do something else to pass the time.
* I run off and leave the orchid to do its job*

Believe me, I need to boost my patience.

Default Years? I think not...

if so, pitch it and get something that provides a little more satisfaction!

Really, it should grow at a steady rate. Maybe not as fast as you'd like, but not years.

Good luck!
