Phal Chin Shang's Stripes
My husband had been wanting to go see one of my new haunts, one of my favorite orchid shopping places. We wandered from one end to another, admiring all her little wonders. Drooling our way through, you might say. We were amazed at one large white with a flower spike as thick as my thumb knuckle. But my OH chose a beauty of a striped plant instead. It has several branches and for it's small size is really putting out the flowers, so far I count 20 flowers and buds. I hope they all hang in there.
Phalaenopsis Chin Shang's Stripes changes color by the light, as you can see

I do like the stripey ones, I think it's one of my favourite markings on phals. I like the litle white bits on the lip too, almost like a runway marking out the landing spot for passing insects!

Thanx All....my OH has begun to understand that this has become my pasttime. He even helps by catching me rainwater in the middle of thunderstorms. He has been great, even helping out when I am off my feet from time to time. I am lucky, without his help I am sure my 'chids wouldn't look half as good as they do.
