Rdcm. 'Strawberry Daiquiri'
Today on a trip to get a nice sun loving cymbidium I ended up also bringing home this beauty. It has flowers on three spikes, two of the spikes have dark rich red flowers while the third spike has a multi-colored flower that is very pretty. I checked and the smaller plant that has the oddly colored flowers is attached to the other larger plant. Guess somehow this little beauty got crossed or something. Its interesting for certain to sit and stare at.
First, my common Cymbidium 'Kenny', although it's very pretty to be so common.
And next the new pretty little thing on my shelves....with pics of both flowers.
Rdcm. Enchantment X Rdcm. Mystique 'Strawberry Daiquiri'
Thanx for looking...
Connie

The first one is actually a really deep red, almost a blood red. It looks darker than the picture. The flower buds you can see in the background are more accurate as to the flower color. I agree though, I love the pink in the second, it's what caught my eye to begin with.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
