    Default Cymbidium: What is this?

Hi! I've been away for such a long time...

Here in Buenos Aires we're enjoying an early Summer...
My boyfriend has a beautiful Cymbidium , which was blossoming in late springtime (pretty late for them, as we were told).

Here are pictures of the Cym which is growing something that I don't know what could be... is it normal to be growing like that during Summer??
I've been looking at other similar pics in the forum, but still no clue...

That is probably the new growth that will bloom in Winter/Spring season. Cyms grow in the warm months and then bloom after they get a chill in Fall/Winter.

Thank you very much for your quick response!!!
I thought it wasn't going to grow like this because of the really hot days lately... And it hasn't been a month yet since it dropped all the flowers and old spikes.

    Thanks a lot again

That's usually when they start to grow--after dropping flowers...

They grow in the 100F+ degree days in Texas, but we have problems blooming them.

    Thanks again!
I thought I was going to wait longer for it to grow... I'm really happy!
