    Default Vanda Hybrid?

No way this could be a hybrid. However I did notice a small Vanda on the background of the first pic. When mother nature has success at something
it can use it more than one time, for example 4 legs, so it is not strange to find two plants whose blooms are similar in shape/color, specially if from the same habitat. Orchid flowers have a distinct morphology that makes the recognizable. A pic would close this subject, if possible front and side view.

    hi Jose,
gee, forgot about this thread...and yes, its a small Vanda in the background, had nothing to do with it, sorry.
well, as for the updates, of course i was scamed, but by that time i was fairly new into the orchid craze, lol!
so apparently, those sellers manage to fit in a Vanda spike so perfectly, that you wouldnt notice any glue or whatever they use.
no real harm done, i needed plants anyway and ever since they give me good shades.

    Hi Ron,

The plant looks like a Heliconia to me. Then again it could be a ginger.

Looks like a Canna sp./hybrid to me. They have brightly coloured rounder flowers held in a bunch, unlike strelitzia or heliconia...
