    Question Warm tolerant Milt's?

I love the pansy orchids and need to find some that are very warmth tolerant. Any suggestions? I live in humid mid-western Florida...not as tropical as Miami, but still very very humid and hot.
    Thanks in advance....

I don't have an answer to this. In fact, as I've wondered about it myself, I'll be watching this thread closely. Although it's definitely cooler and less humid here in NY, so far Milts haven't been happy here with me either.

It's tricky down here Connie. I keep my Milts in the a/c.

I grow milt's in NYC but indoors with AC and a small fan running. All of my hybrids and my one species (roezlii) do very well. Roezlii might do well for you as it's the most warmth tolerant of all the milts. Any others I'd keep inside with the AC.

It really depends on how warm the situationis. Miltoniopsis like warmth, shade, medium humidity, good air flow and to be moist of mix all the time. They will handle temps to 30c without much problem, over that they suffer. The Brazilian Miltonia will handle high temps, low humidity, some dryness during the dormant period and also cool temps.

I grow them here, but green house does not hit 90 usually in the 80s on a hot day . During the hottest months I move them to more shade and lower to the floor they bloom and grow fine . The Brazilians stay in the same spot all year . Gin

Miltoniopsis santanei is a really heat tolerant species if you like them.

The Miltonias are a completely different ballgame and most of them (?) would probably some warmth.
