    Cattleya maxima is a fall-bloomer; peak blooming time is September through December. In spite of everything, patience is what you need.

    The original post for this was back in 09. Since then this plant has bloomed at least 3 times and right now is in sheath again. It's a hot summer, I expect when it blooms this fall it should be a nice one. I think it has five or six sheaths this time.
