    Default Bulbophyllum Shopping

There is a small greenhouse just off the x-way in Stockbridge, MI on my way to pick up my daughter at Michigan State U. The owner, Rob, has spoken at our local orchid society. I've always wanted to stop and visit with him and today was the day. He wanted to get rid of his Bulbophyllum and unfortunately I was hungry! Normally I wouldn't list plants I've purchased but I'm getting very "into" Bulbos. I picked up Cirr. dentiferum, B. factum, B. echinolabium, B. orthoglossum, B. lasiochilum, B. Frank Smith (lobbii x carunculatum) and B. Jersey (lobbii 'Kathy's Gold' x echinolabium 'Big Red'). Boy Oh Boy is my greenhouse going to smell WONDERFUL!

Remember the pics later. Also, if when the plants bloom you fail to capture some of the scent and send it our way, we might have to visit your greenhouse. Trust me, you wouldn't want that.

My sister and I stopped last July when visiting the Ann Arbor art fair and both came back with several plants. I got the crystelle smith(??) there, lovely pink and yellow mini-catt.

Just wait until your B. echinolabium blooms. I tend to forget mine is in bloom and accidentally get to close to it while tending the plants. Nothing like that foul stench to get your attention!!!

I love Bulbo shopping. Ive been trying to find flasks of fletcherianum or phalaenopsis with no avail. If only the macrobulbon section wasnt so expensive!
