Sorry about that. We have not enabled the mail system on the new server yet. It will be a couple of days before we get it working again.

Oh, heck, I just figured I hadn't checked the "follow this thread" box. You shouldn't have said anything and I would have gone right along blaming my forgetful self.

I thought of the Miltassia Royal Robe immediately from the title of your post. Though the color does fade a bit as the flowers age.

I would also suggest something like Colmonara Massai or Massai Splash.
Below is a pic of Massai Splash.

Hey this developing into a battle royal and I love it. Keep those picture coming, folks. I am digging into my files to look for Miltonia Queen of Purple.

I'm a sucker for purple in all things. A few years ago, my brother was visiting and I was complaining that I wished I could get more *color* into my apartment. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "What are you talking about? Everything you own is purple and green!" Hehee. I'm thinking about a Milt. spectabilis -- how long-lasting are the flowers?

The Massai Splash is wild! Something about it looks extremely and specifically Star-Wars-ish to me (this is a good thing). Think that one better go on my wish list.
