Phaiocalanthe culture in the home?

Does anyone have experience growing Phaiocalanthe in their homes? I haven't been able to figure out from the culture information I've found on the internet whether that might be a losing proposition or not -- what I've read so far is either for greenhouse situations or people who can grow outside. This might mean that they're not indoors-friendly plants, of course, but they look like such interesting plants that I thought it'd be worth it to ask here before writing them off entirely.
