Sarcochilus hartmanii - spike or new growth?
OK, every night this winter, I would carry this one to my back hallway for a nice chilly night. Did it work? Is that little nub on the left a spike or just another new growth?

Odds here are better than playing Red or Black on Roulette, since you can't hit 0 or 00, which are green.
So, like, what do we get if we're right?

Is this your way of saying you have no idea??
If you say the magic words and you are right, I just might be convinced to send you a big bag of Easter Peeps.

It's a growth.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
Another question: What is that dark, pointy thing on the opposite side? A bunch of other people told me THAT was a new growth except it hasn't done a thing in over a month.
Are you getting a sense of my desperation to have this tot bloom?

LOL! Not really.
That *was* a new growth. Brown as it is though, it looks like it's been abandoned, and the plant put out that latest one on the left. That first one might have gotten too much light; it looks sort of toasty.
