    Default Miltoniopsis orchid identification

Hey, I don't grow orchids, but I need to identify the species of the orchid (Latin and common names) in this painting, for a friend who is trying to enter it in a competition (I know that it is a Miltoniopsis of some sort.) Any help would be appreciated immensely.

    Hi Tree_boar.

I have Milt. Pearl Ono 'lliwai' AMAOS x Milt. santanaei '4n' and it is similar, but the one in the painting looks darker to me. Could be the artist interpretation - or maybe mine is lighter because of the santanaei crossed with it.

Hope you find out what it is though. It is a beautiful painting.

    Cheers,
    BD

I found a tag with the actual plant; it says "Milt. Breathless," if that helps.
