Default Dendrobium Copter

Hi everyone, My Name is Wolf, and I'm an orchiholic.

Just kidding, I do have a few though. Mostly I inherited them from an ex roomate who moved out and left them here. About 11 are NOIDs but a few have tags and one is Dendrobium Copter. However, I can't seem to find anything on this specific Dendrobium here or any where else.

Anyway if you have info on Dendrobium Copter a pic of the bloom would be great.

Thanks

Wolf

P.S. I wonder if anyone has thought of doing research on why they are so adictive... but their probably too busy growing their orchids.

Hi Wolf, Welcome!

I did a quick search and it appears Den. Copter is going to have a dark purple/marron bloom. The parents are: Den. Copper Queen x Den. Doctor Poyck. It was first registered in 2001 by P.Buranaraktham. I could not locate a photo of the actual plant or bloom, but did find images of the parents. Both were fairly analogous in color. Copper Queen being a fairly dark purple with a light green center and Doctor Poyck a brown/red. Another member here will probably have more information, so hang in there! Once again, welcome.

Cheers!
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Great! I look forward to seeing it. I just hope it doesn't turn out orange or pink or something after my post

Cheers!
