Mary, NOID simply means no identification or no ID. The name of the orchid is unknown. (I won't tell you how many posts I read and places I looked before I found that out!!)

It is funny how we like to blame our buying more orchids on someone else!

    Enjoy your new phals
That's how "Collection Obsession" started....... I would not do that.

I heard that phalaenopsis schilleriana or phalaenopsis philippinensis can be grown mounted and blooms beautifully. To be honest with you, I was just thinking about getting one and grow it mounted in my Vanda house.

However, I have very strong will NOT TO GET ONE. I am not addicted, not addicted, not addicted......

LOL Uh huh sure. I tried chanting I will be rich one day...didn't work either. We'll be here for you. When you find yourself going to the grocery store because you heard they had some nice phals...we'll be here for you.

I am like Cathy. I am a phal killer. Actually, they do not like the light setting I have ( HID lights ). I think too much light intense.
