I have many similar questions, and would like to see the article referred to above. I've gotten some experience with several Phalaenopsis, but have heard they're nothing compared to keeping up with a Vanda. I just purchased my first Vanda Pachara Delight from the NY Botanical Gardens and am keeping it in its original hanging basket and watering it incessantly. I'd love any advice I could get on how to maintain it, where it comes from, etc. It's already flowering and I suspect around 2-3 years old (per the date given me when I purchased it). It's been healthy these first two weeks and I'd like to keep it that way.

Though I am familiar with the yearly repotting process for Phalaenopsis, is there any similar trimming that needs to be done to the Vanda? during non flowering periods? How should I go about this?

Also, on similar forums elsewhere I've seen examples of people keeping their pachara delights in glass vases with water at the bottom to maintain necessary humidity, while soaking the roots thoroughly once a week, and spraying daily. I found that method really interesting and I was wondering if anyone had experience with it, if there were additional problems to be aware of and guard against.

Additionally, what kind of food? how often?

Sorry, I've got a million questions but am thoroughly in love with this plant and want to make sure it stays well. I appreciate any suggestions or information
