Hello friends, I got this Sobralia rosea in 2009 as a small plant about 8-10 inches reed growths. In the past 3 years it has grown very nicely, now growths reaching about 5 ft in height, but no blooms yet. Does any member have ideas as to what might be wrong, because I have already seen pictures of plants about 2 ft tall blooming.
Here is the pic. of the plant, standing tall with my Mokaras.

Perhaps it needs more sun, Amey...I tried that with a couple of mine that weren't blooming; and it worked.....Betty
Nice mokara! I hope the Sobralia blooms for you. I love the flowers on that one. Hope we get to see pics of your blooms soon....
Thanks Connie, I also hope it blooms soon, from what I read, it is a sequential bloomer, with individual blooms lasting just a day !
My friend from highland grow this species at about 3 to 4 feet already come out so beautiful flower yours could be as Betty said need more light, fertilizer and maybe low temperature to induce flowering, finger cross for you Amey, looking forward your post later.
