Reference to an article on orchid nomenclature will be appreciated?
Is there a list of original species?
How are new hybrids named and what organization keeps track of it all?

As for the potinara orchids - yes, they are cattleya type orchids. Potinara has now been changed to Rhynchobrassoleya (I know, a mouthful!!)
As for Netrosiri Starbright, well that is: Rhyncattleanthe Netrasiri Starbright (Cattlianthe Kauai Starbright x Rhyncattleanthe Orange Nuggett)
