Laughing Soooooo hard right now! Told ya! I will ask her but I may start looking into how to properly ship while budding and spiking, and maybe I will to u for you. But I take that very seriously so I will be doing homework to see what I can do. I almost cried when she showed me these. She keeps a secret stash just for me I'll post the other I had to say no to because I'm on a budget.

Those are really nice, I did not think Oncidiums had big blooms. I did some searching on the internet and think I found some. I have more Oncidiums than anything else buy Dends are catching up. There is always room for one more orchid!

It's beautiful. It's actually a Beallara, a very complex hybrid, crossed between Brassia, Cochlioda, Miltonia and Odontoglossum. They're lumped in with Oncidiums a lot, but being in the Oncidium group is very nebulous. A lot of people pretty much just throw anything spidery with grassy leaves into Oncidium, though the care for the particular plant is very different than an actual Oncidium. They don't tolerate heat nearly as well as Oncidium, but still need bright light. I'd say 2,000-2,500 fc's should do it fine, maybe even a little less. Definitely more than a Phal., though. They like to be a bit more moist than a typical Oncidium, but, as with nearly all orchids, never "wet".

I don't have one myself, but to be honest, they're notorious for being finicky and picky...traits that are a bit unusual for such a hybdridized plant. Not to scare you off, of course! I'm sure you'll do fine with it if you just make sure it stays out of extreme heat and doesn't go bone dry like a Cattleya between waterings.
