Default Cattleya maxima with a bifoliate pbulb?

I did it! I ordered my first orchids online. Just couldn't wait for the next show and no vendors near me it was a good experience tho! Healthy plants with healthy roots..... Both needed potted down but other that that (easily rectified) issue.....

But the C. maxima has this one odd p bulb that looks bifoliate. Take a look?

Ps I have a seedling Catt that was ill, I've followed advice from threads here, and saw today that it's got a little nub of a new lead coming

Great going on the new developments. Keep it up. Soon you'll be choosing between people and plants to see who occupies the free spaces in your home.

It's a young plant. Seedlings of monofoliate Cattleya are frequently bifoliate. Don't worry.

I agree with Eric, unifoliate cattleyas can very often produce a pseudobulb with two leaves and occasionally I've seen three leaves. On the other hand bifoliate cattleyas seldom, if ever, produce pseudobulbs with one leaf.
