    Default Dendrobium antenatum

From the very first time I saw this plant in one of the posts, I fell in love with it, so as soon as I had the oportunity I ordered one From a German vendor (together with a Phal. Liodora, a phal bellina 'Chin Yeo' and a phal. violacea var. Sumatra that I have posted in another post).
It looks quite small, but it read it was 'blooming size'. When is the blooming time for this dendro?

They will star blooming quite small, so I would call yours small blooming size. I havve a backbulb division of mine that is smaller but has bloomed and is making another spike, and bought an F1 hybrid of its today that is about the same size and has 3 spikes. Awesome aren't they?

Just by looking at the photo, I would say that the bulbs are long enough to flower, but perhaps not fat enough. These seem to be quite chunky little orchids when they get going. I have mine growing on a smooth palm trunk, where it gets plenty of light and dries out soon after watering. These grow wild in the northern Cape York Peninsular of Australia, and its habitat is very hot and dry in the winter time (May-November). Come summer time it is even hotter, but this is offset with massive rainfall. They bloom at the same time as all the other Aussie antelope type dendrobiums, and the flowers are extra long lasting. Good luck with your wonderful little orchid... One of my faves!
