    Default Northenara

has anyone heard of this genus? I seem to have one with the name "Northenara Roy Yahiro" it's about to bloom which is really cool. Anyway just wanted to know if anyone had heard of it. I was digging about getting leaves from the hurricane out of all the pots and this one which I haddn't repotted since I inherited them had a tag hidding down in there.

Hey Wolf--that's a hybrid cross between these genera: Cattleya x Epidendrum x Laelia x Schomburgkia. Definitely cool that it's about to bloom for you--be sure to post a pic!

LOL so it's a mutt. <G> It's got 7 buds on the spike so far and it looks like it may have more on the way.

So let's see - thats a EpiCattLeaburgkia? How did it wind up with the name of Northenara for the genus? Looks like it will have nice purple or burgundy flowers...
