    Default Restrepia sanguinea

So, I have noticed something odd, or well, at least something I haven't noticed before, and since I have only had the plant for a short time, I have no idea what's going on.

A week after I received the plant it started putting out new growth...exciting. Well, that was about a month and a half ago. The ramacaul looks fully developed and there seems to be a sheath-like-thing that the leaf is coing out of. But, at the base of the leaf coming from the ramacaul, there is an odd bumpthat looks like it is unfolding from the top of the leaf. Any ideas? It is not as green as the leaf, with a tinge of purple.

Don't they form a bud like other flowers? This looks kind of flattish...well, I will wait in anticipation...

Default I now know what that little bump was

Dissapointing but yet still good....it was the bottom of the leaf breaking through the sheath

And pretty darned fast too...this time I think this new thing is a future bloom, its down inside the sheath coming off of the leaf, and has a slight spear shape to the growth...this is small, I mean about 1mm, but over the past week...it's getting bigger . Now all I have to do is sit back and watch the show
