    After a year of experimenting, I finally seem to getting some blooms forming so I thought I should report back!

    Giving it more light and hanging it up didn't work - leaves started yellowing and burning. So I put it back in a pot where it would be kept more moist and have had it in shadier conditions - that seems to have worked better... Hope that information is useful to someone else!

    Here is a photo of one of the "buds"... but it does seem like it doesn't have enough space to open!

    So this has finally flowered and it turns out it's also a Maxillaria Tenufloria - completely different growing habit to my other one which has flowered each year under very similar conditions and this one has only flowered this year!

    Eeyore, I'm having the same issue. Mine started about the same size as yours and not it's a bush. I've had it for five years an I only received one flower from it. I haven't a clue about this plant. So, now I just treat it as a regular house plant.
