i just stuck my nose down the flower sheath on this one and i can see buds how exciting this will be my first cat alliance orchid i have flowered so far many others have sheaths lets hope they produce too i will keep yo'all updated but i'm not counting chickens yet
One cool thing I learned about Cattleyas is that old dry sheaths can still send up flowers and bloom months after you give up on them! How exciting to have blooms coming - I'm just getting Catts to start blooming for me in the last couple of years too, I've got a few pictures I need to post when I have time. The ones that have bloomed have had the same care, but seem to just need to get big enough to start flowering, so don't give up hope! They also seem to like plenty of light, mine are in my South window and I get some leaf scorch if the leaves get too close to the window (very hot here in the summer, even double panes windows get hot). Good luck, looking forward to the pictures of the flowers.
they're on they're way
a star is born she finally flowered
Very pretty. And that lip is extra nice!
