We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Default BLC Memoria Gladys Young udate!

Actually this is more an update on Gladys Young's grandchildren than the orchid named after her...

I've been swamped in a nightmarish haze of battling publisher, agent, attorney, and illustrator on this new book project that I thought was put to bed. Mwahaha... No such luck. Lots of angst and little free time.

I did speak with Hoa recently, but both of our recent lives overshadowed my recollection of the BLC Mem Gladys Young project, I'm sorry to say. Doc SeaHorse Spock will be here in Boston in a few weeks and we'll enjoy dinner together, so I'll get an update then.

My sister, Lisa, did finally move back into her home, some 18 months after Katrina wiped it out. This week was tense for her with Gustav, but Ocean Springs, MS luckily fell between the heavy bands of damage in Gulf Port, MS and Pennsicola, Fl. You okay, Tami?

Cheers,
McSleepy <-Got up way too early...

Good to hear from you McJulie. Sorry about your mcbattles - hope things clear up soon although with an attorney involved it will be a while. Glad to hear Lisa made it thru the 'cane ok, all my folks (and us) are fine - thanks for asking.
Tell Hoa we said hello and are awaiting word on Gladys.

Tami

Yes, for some, Gustav was a bump-in-the-night instead of a nightmare like Katrina. I'm glad your sister slipped through the quiet part.

I'm falling behind on some of my own projects, too, but it is always better to have too much work than not enough to do....
