A common orchid I think but would I grow this under the same conditions as Epidendrum peperomia? It's basically a bare root ball of dead roots and pb's but there are a few living bits that I plan to mount.

I would look for mounting them on cork or tree fern.

"Grow mounted on tree fern, cork or wood to accomodate the rambling nature of the plant, full sun, cool to warm temperatures and you will be rewarded with multiple blooming."

Few living roots to me is more than enough as long as no bacteria/fungal infection.
