Does anyone know much about Epidendrum's in general? or about this specific kind? (Epidendrum congestoides) I just purchased one, but I can't seem to find a decent culture sheet. I'll have to get pictures tomorrow. Hope you guys can help.
Here is a bit of info from Jay's site:
"A miniature sized, hot to warm growing, epiphytic or occassional lithophytic species found from central Mexico south through Central America, West Indies to Peru, Brazil and Suriname in humid oak forests, drier, open areas and dense rainforests on trees and rocks at elevations of 100 to 1100 meters with clustered, leafy stems enveloped by imbricate leaf bases carrying distichous, fleshy-coriaceous, ovate-lanceolate, acute leaves and blooms on a apical, single flowered, short inflorescence that has up to three erect flowers occuring in the spring and summer. Best grown on a cork mount and hung where it gets good air movement, bright light and frequent mistings.
