Unhappy Phrag. amazonica or lindleyanum?

Hello, I have a question of a plant's i.d. I bought a Phrag. about one month ago, the tag says:
Phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentice 4n x amazonica "birchwood". But when I searched the internet I found nothing with this cross.

However, while searching for that cross, the name lindleyanum 'birchwood' popped up, so I swapped amazonica with lindleyanum in the search and found many references and sellers of
Phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentice 4n x lindleyanum 'Birchwood'.

Should I assume that the tag is inncorectly marked, with the wrong or old and defunct species name amazonica?

I hope that this is only a mis-lable of the name,. There is a bud but it is awhile from opening. Does phrag. amazonica even exist? I found very little searching for it, so I think that the name is just plain wrong wrong.

What do you think? Based on some searches I think that some posters here might own it. Is it a Phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentices' 4n x Phrag. amazonica 'Birchwood'- which I cant find online. or is it a mislabeling of Phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentice 4n x Phrag. lindleyanum 'Birchwood'

Any thoughts or answers woul dbe very much appreciated. And if anyone has, or know of a picture please let me know. Thanks! Meg

I would not do that if I were you. I've seen the clonal name 'Birchwood' applied to several phrags before and I would not base an ID using this name. I believe the name amazonica has never been related to lindleyanum either. And amazonica is it just a horticultural trade name and not a scientific one. 'Phrag amazonica' is the same as Phrag. richteri

I think you can also tell from the foliage if it is richteri or lindleyanum. richteri will have narrow grassy foliage (like pearcei) and its progeny will have narrower foliage.

After googling I did find a vendor selling the exact item you are talking about...

exactly as above. amazonica is a synonym for richteri, which is quite unrelated to lindleyanum. and 'Birchwood' is a very commonly used name (not sure which vendor uses it though)
