    One day when my Baldan's is used to being properly cared for....it'll grow up to be a multi-brancher too. lol

    Wow, Clint. That's really tall and healthy! I got mine from the store, but straight out of the box they just received from the grower... so I guess, in essence, I got mine almost-direct.



    Not the best picture, but the smaller spike has 3 blooms, the larger has 6. I think this might be a fairly young plant.

    Oh! And here's one of the weird spiky-root thing (I'm leaning towards confused root).

    Yep, it's a root. I've noticed that if I up the light on my phals in the winter, those that normally produce double spikes feel like they have the energy to commit to that many flowers....

    Great! thanks for the tip. I'll keep that in mind... I've been meaning to get another set of lights for my plants anyway.

    Better get some lights soon. I've never grown anything through the winter. It'll be my first w/ chids.
