Default Is my Lc. Tokyo Magic pregnant again?

    Hi all,

I guess it's a Sc. (Sophrocattleya instead of the Laeliocattleya) now.

Is this a new pseudobulb starting to grow or does it look like anything else?
If it is a p-bulb it is really on steroids. Its mature p-bulbs are 9" and I have two p-bulbs growing which are now 6" and 4.5". I'm liking this already.

I never expected something like this when I told me wife "which one do you like" in the store. I got the out of bloom C. dowiana and she wanted the Sc. Tokyo Magic. Well I'd say she did a marvelous job.
I have it for two weeks now; it's in bloom, has two young p-bulbs, and is sprouting another one! This kid is crazy, I'm loving it. It's almost like it's rewarding me for taking it from the store.

And so it begins! My theory is, they can tell if they were adopted by someone who loves them and will take good care of them! It's a beautiful plant.

I think she's thanking you for saving her from the box store.

They are often shipped in bud like that to reach the store at the "almost-ready-to-pop" stage. That catt is a nice one!
