The seed pods are like little round balls. Mine has went to seed a couple years in a row. We have teeny tiny ants up to giant ones here in Florida. That is also why we have a guy come spray outside about every 2-3 months depending on how bad they get. I had never knew aloe flowered until I saw ours go into spike awhile back. Ours blooms out Orange instead of Yellow, but it as intense as the yellow. You can see if for a long ways.

The only thing that grows in my yard (except weeds) is a huge bed of aloe vera. It is an orange variety and multiplies rapidly. It is in shade most of the day.

Hi, I googled 'Aloe Vera flower' and found you! I'm not sure if I have an aloe vera, or what it may be. But the thing is, I've had it since '08 and it's never done this before. Can you tell me what I have here and what to expect? Thanx :-)

I hope this works as the screen is now full of digits where I want a picture, or two!

I have hen and chicks that are growing "towers" that I think are going to flower. Never had this happen before.

a coworker has had this plant about ten years an has never had it outside. i suggested we take out out durring some of the nice days this summer so maybe it would bloom... weelll a few days later he was otu of town for work an i went to check on his plant an there was a small stem coming out of the middle.. n got very excited not its taller then the aloe leaves. we couldnt figure out his this started does it take a certain amount of time for the plant to mature. why all of a sudden after all these years it just poped up there abotu ten smaller plats that have been taken from that large one on the left the smaller one on the rigth is from that an i have one the same size. from this plant n theres 2 smaller ones in the pot with the big one it has produced lots of clones!!! i put a 5 gal. just next to it so you can get an idea on teh actual size of this plant that hasent moved from that place in a long long time. can anyone help answer the ?'s weve had ??

Congrats on the flower! That's so cool!!

I have some kind of aloe at home, but it's not doing very well. It's in a pot and I think I just don't water it enough and/or it doesn't get enough sun. It doesn't look like aloe vera though...are there other kinds?
