I have an herb kit too, but don't intend to use it. TAMI - would you like the herb kit?

What kind of tom seeds did they send you, Di?

If the set up works, I have some seeds for what is supposed to be a very short growing cherry tom. (I will find out this summer just how short!)

Very interesting post. Looking forward to the progress pictures. I'm liking that "something else" comment by Lambert. Sure worth a try

    Default *** TOMATO UPDATE ***

Okay folks, following the supposedly idiot proof instructions, the seedlings require thinning to one per pod once they reach 1 inch in height. So today was the thinning day and here are the before and after pics of one of the pods. Things are moving along well, so far....

Did you pot up the others that were 'thinned'? hehe.. They looks really healthy. What a fun project!

I always have trouble murdering the ones that get thinned ... just hate killing off otherwise healthy seedlings. So I wind up potting them up and then have the challenge of finding them homes.

I actually trimmed them, you don't pull them out of the pod.
