Default Australian Native Flora (lots of pics)

Last week, I went on a bit of a wander in a native bushland park... thought I'd share some of the flowers that are out in flower at the moment... many of these are not horticulturally grown, but really they should... they make such a wonderful show!

    1. Epacris longiflora - a low growing bush, and the tubular flowers can cover the whole plant to make a really amazing show... one of my fave Aussie native flowers.

    2. Hardenbergia violacea - this is a beautiful rambling / climbing plant. This is one of the few natives now commercially available.

    3. Eriostemon verrucosus 'Pink' - another plant that was totally covered in flowers.

    4. Chorizema cordatum

    5. Calothamus quarifidus - this is a really unusual plant and the flowers come out of the branches of the bush.

    6. Boronia pinnata

and last but not the least

    7. Boronia mollis -

Well, that's all folks... actually there were also quite a number of orchids in flower, but i better not overload

    cheers

Those were stunning. In another lifetime, I visited Western Australia and was blown away by the flora. Please post the chids also.
