Funny. Outside is the only place I've had no issues with miniroses. Inside, they always become the source of spidermite infestations or have other issues as a result of the extremely dry air. Outside, they've been pretty much ignored (planted them at my parents' place) though one summer bugs defoliated them & the lil bushes bounced back from that without a problem.

Giovanni, have you tried spraying them with Neem oil?

excellent growing, they are so pretty.
Roses are not easy indoors. I just got a Rose 'Tiffany' (which is a hybrid tea) that is temporarily indoors but blooms faded quickly and no new buds.
Maybe I will try a mini rose too, though internet sources contradict whether they are good house plants.

I don't want to take over your thread too much. I would love to share a photo of the Tiffany rose I bought in november. A portion of its profits went to breast cancer.

This one is classified as a hybrid tea according to websites though the blooms weren't large. It has given good leaf growth too, though I didn't get new buds yet. I'm happy it is growing though after all the old leaves wilted. I sure hope I can bloom it indoors otherwise I will have to put it outdoors, overwintering it in my garage (the climate is too cold)

I really want to buy a mini rose now!

I'm curious about their culture. I notice your plants are above a radiator? It isn't causing any problems due to lack of humidity? How old is your oldest plant?

Do you have to do a lot of misting to keep them happy ? I have a regular size rose growing in the basement under lights that has bloomed twice so far this winter and has several buds now. I love roses and have 96 of them outside. I didn't get them covered before the snows came so I don't know what I will have left in the spring.
