    Default white butterfly ginger

    hi,
here is a little story to it.
i got those "lilies" from a vendor, so i planted the babies and watched em growing. after a while i was wondering why they kept on growing and looked sooo different?
well, here is the result of his strange "lilies", i got fooled but im quite happy about it!

this ginger has apparently the largest flower and most fragrant and i bet even my neighbors can smell it!
the downpoint is, the flower lasts only 1 day, but on the other hand new ones popping up every other day or so and they keep on doing that since 10 days already.

my garden and house is well perfumed, love it!!!

    thanks bruce,
i forgot to mention that you can actually watch the flower opening, from the closed phase it takes pretty much 2 hours (i timed it) to open, another part i really enjoy while bumming in my hammock.

    cheers

That is really amazing. I have some red ginger, but I am not sure if it blooms. I *think* it has tiny little blooms. Nothing like this one.

    Cheers,
