    I have, what I consider, a wildflower, since I don't recall planting it.... but then at my age there's alot I don't remember!!!! Anyway, is this Buttercup or ??????

    Hi Howard - Missed seeing your beautiful orchids and hearing from you lately. I hope all is well. I will let someone who knows about wildflowers answer you question, but will say it is a cool bloom and excellent photos.

    there are many plants that are called buttercups. I have something similar in my garden, it spreads by runners. It always lends some bright color to the garden.

    Howard, had a break in the rain and went out to see...looks like what I have is identical to yours. I believe I have always called it Evening Primrose but it is not the same as BD posted a link to

    Doing a google pic search using Oenothera tetragona gives mixed results...some of the plants look like ours and others don't???
