Male Fern, Royal Fern, Maiden Hair Fern, and Japanese Painted Fern. These are ones that I grow in the ground and are hardy for my area. A few of them are native.

The Japanese Painted is hardy to zone 4 I believe...Bruce you should be ale to grow it without a problem.
