Pineapple blooming

    Pineapple plants produce fruit usually after 2 years of growth. They will then produce a pineapple every year from that plant. Kind of like some orchids. I dont know how long they keep producing though.

    John this is so cool!! This is exactly the type of fun experiment I would love to do when I get a GH!! I am way impressed!! They are super cute to boot, let us know when u eat it!! LOL!

    Update:
    The second pineapple plant decided to join the party.
    The older pineapple fruit is in the foreground. The one in the back is still an unbloomed flower ball.


    I guess its a race against time to get these fruits to ripen before winter kicks in.

    Awesome John. I read your thread a few months ago & thought how cool I need to try that. Haha no luck so far. Fruit growing isn't my area.
