Default some garden blooms daylilies and perennials

this first daylily is H. 'Autum Minaret' It is a primary cross of H. altissima X H. fulva.. It was an early cross made by Arlow Stout and registered in 1951. The spike can reach 72" . Before my strong interest in orchids, I used to collect and breed daylilies.

Those are fantastic Ron, such great blooms and shots, Are the pink and white cluster flowers night scented stocks? they are one of my favourite flowers, they take me back to my childhood of the scent drifting through my bedroom window in the balmy evenings of summer. I do have trouble recognising them without smelling them.

I love daylilies. The light color with a touch of dark look amazing. Good luck with it!
I have 3 (had 4) stella de oro or something like it. Keep getting bigger every year. I will have to divide the in the fall since they are taking up too much room in my garden. They always have blooms throughout the whole summer. I only wish I had gotten more color variety. But the yellow does pop and brighten up the garden.

Carrie the pink and white ones are Garden Phlox...I believe it is only day fragrant. When I worked in a florist ,as a teen, we used a flower called Stock, in arrangements. I recall that it was highly fragrant...I seemed to have an allergy to it. I could not rub my eyes after handling the plant. I don't believe they are hardy to my growing area. Never seen them for sale as plants. England has a much more temperate climate than here. The purple/pink spiky one is Bee Balm...Humming birds love it. I also have that one in red
