Default White and Pink Tropical Lily

This lily grows extremely well here in Thailand. It flowers all year long, alas no fragrance, loves sun and water! Multiplies like crazy with new bulbs underground
if space allows. Great for flower arrangements. Does any one know it's name or where it originates from? ENJOY!

Well, it does seem to be an HIPPEASTRUM and here in the tropics it flowers all year.
    Thanks.

Yes Michael it is a hippeastrum - I have this stripey one, also another stripey and a watermelon colour, plus 3 different reds and an orange. They grow well here, sadly they only flower in Spring/Summer. I have been away for a few weeks and the watermelon and stripey ones flowered while I was away. I was lucky enough to take a snap of the 3 reds the day I left, which I will post here. There is an orange one almost open.

Lovely, thanks Noela! Any fragrance and would they also do well in the tropics? Do they grow wild or are they sold/raised in nurseries? I adore reds and oranges... Would love to see the orange when they open. Many thanks and happy growing!

    Cheers, Michael
