It's amazing how beautiful some of the carnivorous plants can be. Especially the one in your third picture... What is the name of that one?

    Thanks for sharing!

They are very pretty. I have a nepenthes but looks like it does not like the hot climate of Bangalore, as the pitchers end up turning brown (even though they are in shade) before they grow completely I should find something that can survive the hot summers here..

I am into carnivorous plants as well, especially nepenthes. Though I mainly focus on our
local species. I see you have quite a collection of hybrids. Love the pings too, need to
get more of them. thanks for sharing

Those are amazing pictures! I used to have a pitcher plant, but neglected it and it finally gave up on me. I will have to replace it now that the sunroom is finished. I'm thinking they will love it in there. The one with the little drops all over was the coolest...although the pitcher with the lovely bands of color was stunning as well!

Its not about Sun and shade, its about humidity. Given constant very high 70 to 80% humidity, your plants will produce pitchers. Another reason for pitcher shrivelling can be fertilizer, the plants catch insects to supplement the rather poor water and soil conditions in thir native habitat, if you fertilize them they do not need to catch the insects. And lastly try Nepenthes ventricosa and Nepenthes alata they have been doing great for the past two years in Pune.
