    Default Greenhouse Monday Afternoon

We are expecting 8" of the white stuff today and I just got back from East Lansing... driving was no fun!!! So I took a trip out to the greenhouse just to see what might be poppin....

Sunday was our local orchid society meeting. Anyway, I usually don't purchase stuff at our meetings but the speaker had some Bulbophyllum for what I thought was a reasonable price and well 4 plants later and down a few $$$ I had to find space in the greenhouse for B. wendlandianum (collettii), B. frostii, B. Louis Sander and this one that has a flower open and another spike on the way....

Ok, back to see what's going on in the greenhouse....

This flower have great substance and is waxy

Are you sure you don't have some silk flowers in your greenhouse ??? How do you get so many to bloom at once ? They look beautiful, nice growing. I'm anxiously awaiting 12 from Hawaii, that were supposed to ship two weeks ago. They didn't ship because of the cold.(which was fine), but now they seem to have misplaced the order. Good luck with your new babies ....

So John, what do you have coming from the Islands? Next time I'm down in Stuart we'll have to get together...

An assortment of Catts, and 3 vandas. I really have to do either a greenhouse, or shadehouse, as I am running out of space on my 6" x 24' lanai area. I closed off an ell, with solex, and a used patio door, for a 6' x 6' "greenhouse", but I am too crowded. (Besides, I've only been doing this since the middle of 2008. so Im still on a learning curve). Other than a few bare root seedlings from the PSLOS, everything I have, I purchased on line. Let me know, if you are coming to Stuart, I'm only 4 miles up the road.

Yours is a beauty, but with so many hybrids I question that it is related
