    I just recently moved to Florida.....this stuff is everywhere...it looks so interesting all over the trees...i really like the look....the flowers are so tiny....im going to see if they smell pretty today..haha

    Can't find it up here in northern Indiana. Love the stuff and think it would be a great use of ambient light in my basement. Have to look for it.

    Lakeland looks nice Andrew there are a couple of orchid vendors up there. We haven't explored up that far yet. It is hot here early. We have never had our AC on in May before. We will see what the summer and the oil spill has in store for us.

    I didn't realize that either. And for some reason, I thought ours had a white bloom?? Maybe it was green...

    true that Molly,things are definitely a changin....the oil spill makes me very sad being an environmental activist...anyhow if you know of more venders around the area i would love a PM....on the other hand i didnt notice a scent at all after smelling about 15 flowers..lol..hmmmmm

    A local (S.E. Queensland, Australia) orchid nursery that specialises in Vanda alliance orchids, use Spanish moss extensively around all their Vanda alliance plants that they grow in hanging baskets.
    Never really asked why but I believe it is to help keep the humidity up. They also have shallow trenches full of broken rock beneath each row of hanging orchids that fill with water, presumedly for the same reason.
    Does it work?
