    Default The big guys are opening (Dracunculus vulgaris)

    The other 2 flowers are opening. A huge 28 inch long, 10 inch wide petal. The other should measure the same. Cross your fingers for pollination.

    It blooms once a year and only for 2-3 days.

    The plants themselves are about 4 to 4.5 ft. tall. The main stalk is 3.5 to 4 inches across.

    Really cool! Don't those get swarms of flies on them once they are fully open?
