    Default Orchid companion plant...?

I have had this large oncidium for about six months. I noticed recently something was growing with it, in it's pot. I love the shape of the leaves and was curious what this is. Someday when I repot the oncidium I will give this little plant it's own pot. I guess i'll repot it up like you would an orchid...it seems to like it in with the oncidium anyways. Thanks for looking...

It's a fern, perhaps a rabbit's foot fern. They have come home with orchids from me several times. Do take it out of the pot with the oncidium because the roots will tangle and the fern will take over. The ferns are splendid large plants on their own.

Yes, a fern. We have had several of them. They will take over if allowed to do so.
