I enjoyed these latest photographs Zain. I learn about another part of the world from your posts and Yew's. Are there still many wild or totally undeveloped areas of Malaysia? Is deforestation a real problem? Thanks Zain! AL

Thanks Al, well in certain areas when not many people can excess usually the wild orchids will grow successfully like a weeds I saw at one location thousand of Bulb virescence growing on the ground untouchable, unbelievable, however when the place is gazetted as a park then the so call " orchid poachers" begin to collect without a mercy such as a beautiful species begin to extinct in their normal habitat sooner or later.Deforestation is another threat for the orchids lover in Malaysia, majority of virgin forest is becoming secondary forest and is occupied by bamboos the most successful plants following deforestation.

This morning when I was outside of the house I was attracted by Dendrobium crumenatum in buds on the fence, I quickly get the camera and snap photos of it, then just realised got a small snake slithering on this plant. Maybe looking for a prey. Small but elegant.

Used to have this snake around my house last time but now not anymore since all the rubber plantations been cut down for house development. Can't wait to see your pics on this Sarawak adventure of yours. Take care and salam En. Zainal.
