    Amaryllis and orchids have to be my two favorite plants both Amaryllis and Hippeastrum and in general members of the Amaryllidaceae family. In fact I've got a red amaryllis that a friend gave me in bloom right now.

    Amaryllis usually only four flowers bloom, the bloom first time it has 5 flowers? and fragrance?

    There were 6 flowers on the spike! No fragrance though. I think you will see better in this picture.

    I saw the Amaryllis plant is next to the bud, I'd be watching when they bloom, thanks to your pictures I've seen better

    I don't have one but I think they are very beautiful. Maybe I'll buy one just for a "test".
