    Default Summer thread 2011?

Could have sworn someone had created a summer thread, but I can't find it if it was so here's a few summer flowers:

    Wink

Summer blooms here are having a hard time in this extreme heat. I have a couple things to share.

First is a vine, the name escapes me right now, but it is just now starting to bloom. It will completely cover the handrail by the end of the summer and have such amazing pink blooms.

Here are a couple shots of my tomatoes. I have a couple of them growing in pots on the porch. (Easier to take care of them this way.)

And finally, a shot of the plant, no bloom just yet, but soon. It is a clematis that Betty gave to me last year when we visited in Tyler, Texas. (I am looking forward to the blooms soon, Betty!! Thank you my friend!!)

Tis is Oxalis, and the foliage is so beautiful, even when it's not in flower.

I don't know the name of this plant, it has very small flowers and it stays this way all summer (in bloom I mean).

I have a few Zephyrantes, both grandiflora and candida. Candida isn't blooming yet.

    Looks like a Mandevilla, Bruce.

Beautiful flowers, Gabi! Too bad oleander is so poisonous. Are the flowers fragrant?

Thanks Pavel! Yes, the oleander flowers are fragrant, but I don't really like the smell.
