    Robert I like your trip to find wild orchids especially lowland type, wow you are very lucky manage to see some of them in blooms love to see Tarsier.

    Nice trip. The ground orchids are in the previous page are probably Nervilia sp. (aragoana or plicata), Anoectochilus, Dossinia or Macodes sp. (with the golden veins, I do not know how to tell them apart) and Malaxis punctata (spotted leaves).

    another weekend. A friend who own a 4x4 wish to come along and i sugggest we explore the interior part of sarawak. It was an old abandon logging road. we have to drive over some shallow streams and on rough road condition.





    wherever posible we climb up to get closer to the flowering orchids.

    that terrestrial looks like Plocoglottis plicata to me. the Coelogyne with flattened pseudobulbs could be C.pandurata.

    Always amazing and exciting to see species in situ. The saucered-eyed little tarsier was a bonus for me to see.
    I love all the shingle plants and think I saw a Rhaphidophora species.
